Abstract
Epileptic eye movements usually occurs as nystagmus. Although it is theoretically possible that abnormal combination of pursuit commands from both hemispheres can generate multidirectional chaotic eye movements, this form of epileptic eye movement has not yet been described. We report an unusual case of complex epileptic eye movements associated with hypoglycemia. A 75-year-old diabetic woman presented with repeated episodes of generalized tonic-clonic seizures due to hypoglycemia. The patient¡¯s eyes showed conjugate, multidirectional and chaotic movements which occurred intermittently and ceased after infusion of phenytoin.
